Charles Edward  Taylor
Taylor, Charles Edward – age 67 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully at 6:10 a.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and loving wife, Judy holding his hand until Jesus took him home. Charles was born July 14, 1947 to Lear and Malcolm Taylor. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and many other medals. Charles was saved at age 10 at the Church of Nazarene in Crossroads, Tennessee by Pastor Denzil Huff. Charles retired from Scurry Construction Company as an engineer. He was an avid reader and loved to watch his birds and squirrels. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lear and Malcolm Taylor; infant brother, Malcolm David Taylor; infant granddaughter, Rachael Bruner; and sister, Christine Price. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 42 years, Judy Taylor; daughter, Dianne (John) Teffeteller; son, Todd (Karen) Taylor; grandchildren, Rick (Angela) Teffeteller, Tyron (Jessica) Blakely, Jenny (Jay) Bell, Michael (Dixie) Taylor, Kandas (Daniel) Bailey, Justin, Penny, Cody and William Edward Taylor, Julie (Cory) Beeler, Molly Collins and Chay Coffey; great grandchildren, Marshall, Bryson, Noah, Michael Lee, Meah, Whitney, Raylea, Rachael, Jaydica, Daniel Charles, Charlie, Jacob, Tora, Landon and unborn baby Bell; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Taylor of North Carolina, James Green of Nashville, Henry (Tracy) Rains of Sevierville; sisters, Charlotte (Steve) Hepinstall of Knoxville, Willie May (Lee) Clark of Florida, Mary Fox of Knoxville and Edith (Sam) Butcher of Knoxville; brothers-in-law, Bill Price, Buddy (Shirley) Kidwell; sisters-in-law, Christine (John) Rudder, Charlene (A.L.) Turpin, Marlene (Burl) Weaver, Betty Sue Kitts, Maude (Richard) Riffey, Vanda (Lynn) Frye and Susan Cox; devoted and caring extended family, Pauline and son, Travis Harris. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Taylor officiating. The interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
