Brown, Carolyn N. – age 76 of Powell, went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2014, surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Preceded in death by her parents, Vidalle and Rosevelt Collins; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; daughter, Vanessa Bruner; and granddaughter, Patricia Brown. Survived by loving husband of 58 years, Jack Brown; children, Gail (Herbert) Boles, Jack, Jr., Bob (Wendy) Brown, Nancy (Mike) McHaffie, David (Julie) Brown, and Joyce (Michael) Dupes; grandchildren, Kenneth (Wendy) Boles, Kevin Boles, Eric and Brooke Brown, Alan Baker, Jamie Williams, Mindi McHaffie, LeeAnn Rutherford, Scottie and Jessie Brown, Bobby Brown, Rachel (Blake) Massengile and Josh Dupes; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; special niece, Judy Rush; special friends, Polly Barns, Betty Arnwine and Kay Brown. The family will like to thank Amedisys Hospice and everyone for the calls, visits, food and most of all your prayers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow immediately at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Michael Dupes and Reverend Ken Buckner officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Mount Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
