Obituary for Isabella Hope Cooke

Isabella Hope Cooke was born to us, Matthew and Jessica Cooke, on Oct. 18, 2014 having died in the womb sometime in the previous two days. Things like this do not just happen. God had a glorious purpose and plan for knitting her together in Jessica’s womb, and sustaining her for 24 weeks. Isabella’s name means devoted to God. We were devoted to God before she was conceived, we were while Jessica was pregnant with her, and we still are now that God has taken her from us. We are thankful that God sustains the faith of His people in the midst of trials. If anything, our faith has been strengthened and deepened though this trial. Romans 8:28-29 says We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestine to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. God is conforming us to his image, and bringing others into His Kingdom through all things he ordains; even this. We are thankful that those who suffer with Christ, holding fast to His promises, will also one day reign with Him (Romans 8:17). This truth is our great Hope. We are still devoted to God, because of this great Hope. His great and precious promises sustain us. We mourn and we grieve but not as those who have no hope. Romans 8:38-39 says For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Please pray for those who grieve the loss of Isabella Hope; parents Matthew and Jessica Cooke; Siblings Nathanael Cooke, Audrey Cooke, and Madison Cooke; Grandparents Glenn and Ruth Cooke, Marlene Fraley, and Gary and Terri Tye; Great Grandmother Stephanie Kiser; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, family friends, and Church family at Maynardville Fellowship. We will be having a grave-side service at Pleasant View Cemetery on Monday October 20th at 2:00 PM. Reverends Ronnie Batchelor and David Province will be officiating, with special music by Hank Sweet and Prentiss Allen. Special thanks to Maynardville Fellowship, Trinity Funeral Home, Irwin’s Chapel UMC, Alder Springs Baptist Church, Basswood Church, and many who have contributed services, sent condolences, food, flowers, and even money; you know who you are. Not a single act of mercy has been unnoticed, or unappreciated. May God bless you all! Trinity Funeral Home, LLC, Maynardville, has the honor to serve the family of Isabella Hope. 865-992-5002 www.trinityfuneralhome.net
