Sturgeon, Betty Jo (Fields) – age 76 of Maynardville, passed away August 23, 2015. Courageously she battled disease with laughter and smiles. Today she triumphs in Glory in her new heavenly home. She loved with all her heart and left an impact on the lives of everyone she met. Betty is preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Iva (Seymour) Fields; grandson, Joseph Allen Smith; sister, Mary Lou (Fields) Bell; and brothers, Ed, Doyle, Bill, Ralph and Gary Fields. She is survived by her special canine companion, Miss Bean; son, Greg Wyrick of Maynardville; daughters, Patti Brown and husband Glen of Burnside, Kentucky and Karen Maxwell of Maynardville and significant Mike Williams; sister, Jan Fields of Thornhill, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Mary Jane Fields of Reliance, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chris (Misty) Wyrick, Aaron (Chelsey) Wyrick, Matt Smith (Erica McVey), Courtney Collins (Jimmy Anderson) and Jessica Maxwell (Andrew Depperman); great grandchildren, Brianna, Payton, Maddix, Maleya, Isaiah, and Haley; special friends and family, Becky Fields, Susan Shorbe, Jean Fields, Hassie Fields, Barbara Fields, Rita Wyrick, Harriet Munsey and Annette Cravens. We would like to acknowledge our blended families, grandchildren, Chris (Tiffany) Brown, Chloe, Tanner (Tessa) Brown, Izzabella, Crystal (Allen) Hash, Zoey and Grunner; a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, August 26 at 12:15 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home and proceed to Free Fellowship Pentecostal Church, Highway 33 in Maynardville for a 1:00 p.m. interment.
