Alma Ruth Stanifer – age 80 of Corryton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 22, 2016. Alma was a member of Mountain View Church of God of the Union Assembly and enjoyed singing for the Lord. She retired after 38 years of service from Levi Strauss.

Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Gladys Williams; sister, Betty Lee; and brother, Steve Williams. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bill Stanifer, Sr.; daughters, Virginia Daugherty, Vickie (Dan) Moore and Marquetta Stubblefield; sons, Troy Washam, Jr. and Bill Stanifer, II; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Haynes, Vella (Glyn) Underwood and Linda (Gary) Stephens; brother, Darrell (Shirley) Williams; and several nieces and nephews. A special mention of Debbie Parmly, Phyllis Washam and caregiver, Deb DeMoss.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Thomas and Reverend Lewis Beeler officiating.
