Obituary for Joann Inklebarger (Jessee)

Joann (Jessee) Inklebarger “Granny” – age 79 of Luttrell, crossed over from death into eternal life with Jesus Christ Sunday morning, June 26, 2016 at her home. She was a faithful member of Alder Springs Baptist Church in Maynardville. Joann spent many years lovingly using her talent of sewing to serve her Savior. Many little angels, wise men and shepherds were clothed by her hands. She lived and loved farm life with her husband Kenneth (Poppy), two children and five grandchildren. Granny’s belief was the next great adventure was just a picnic basket away with her grandbabies or with Poppy on the back roads of East Tennessee searching for the perfect hamburger.

She is preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; parents, Cas and Mary Jessee; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beulah and Clyde Inklebarger; sisters, Carolyn Smith and Louise Hubbs; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hubbs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Billie Gregg, Lavern and Sammy Inklebarger and Mary Daniel; great grandson, Dayton Corum and many loved ones. Joann is survived by daughter, Debbie Mason and husband Gerald; son, Kenneth “Bo” Inklebarger, Jr. and wife Vivian; grandchildren, Jacob Mason and Amanda, Gabe Inklebarger and Erin, Julie Mason, Comfort Corum and D. J., and Joseph Mason and Jordan; five precious great grandchildren, Caleb and Christian Carmon, Aleigha and Abby Corum and Jake Mason; brother, Gill Jessee and wife Flo; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Junior and Nancy Beeler and Bobby Daniel; and many precious nieces and nephews. She is also survived by very special friends, Doyle and Wanda Inklebarger.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Alder Springs Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Jimmy Davidson officiating. Evening interment to immediately follow in Haun Cemetery, Luttrell.
