Kaden Beau Massengile – age 9 months of Corryton, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his home after a lifelong battle with CHD. In his short life Kade impacted many individuals and churches in the community. He had a contagious laugh and a smile that would melt any heart.

Kade is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dexter Merritt; uncle, Brandon Massengile; aunt, Teresa Collins; great grandparents, Amos and Lucille Massengile; and great grandmother, Barbara Jean Collins. Kade is survived by his loving mom and dad, Bradley and Hope Massengile; brother, Cole “Bubba” Massengile; grandparents, Mark and Carolyn Massengile; and grandmother, Nancy (Dolly) Merritt; and great grandparents, George and Norma Savage. Kade also left aunts and uncles, Eric (Bo) and Wendy Merritt, Blake and Rachel Massengile, Matt and Melanie Culbertson, Donny and Rhonda Merritt, Scott Merritt; Patrick and Brittany Evans; several cousins; as well as a host of extended family and friends. We must say a special thank you to Dr. Madhu Murphy and the 5th floor PICU staff at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Also a special thank you to Sharon Ingram and Gayla Walker who were special “Nanas” to Kade and the church family of Living Waters Missionary Baptist Church.

Services to celebrate Kade’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with visitation in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel at 228 Main Street, Maynardville. The service to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Brian Lucas and Reverend Bo Merritt officiating. Friends and family will meet at Trinity Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 and go in procession to Savage Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. burial service.
