Troy Arlan Washam, Sr. – age 84 of Luttrell, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Troy was the son of Logan and Ester (Dukes) Washam. He was the pastor of Luttrell Church of God for 27 years where he led many people to the Lord and a member of Mountain View Church of God in Luttrell. Troy retired from Tennessee Lime & Stone (Carmuse) in Luttrell. Troy loved the Lord, his church and his family putting them above all else in his life. He enjoyed music and singing and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Faye Washam; son, Orville Middleton; brothers, Willie and Stanley Washam; and one great-great granddaughter. Troy is survived by his children, Virginia Daughtery of Maryville; Anita (Dan) Moore of Hagerstown, Maryland; Troy Washam, Jr. of Knoxville, Marquetta Stubblefield of Clinton; Melanie (Kirk) McKenzie of East Ridge; Wanda (Terry) Lee of Harrogate; Kim (Dee) Seagraves of Knoxville; Sonya (Jason) Tabor of Maynardville; Dustin, Brandon and Sandy Washam all of Luttrell; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; sister, Arlene (Jack) Rose; and brother, J. L. (Sue) Washam.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Jason Dyer, Reverend Chris Washam and Reverend Lewis Beeler officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Washam Family Cemetery, Luttrell, for an 11:00 a.m. interment service.
