Gerald L. Shoffner, Sr. - age 84 of Luttrell, passed away September 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late David and Linda (Keck) Shoffner, Gerald was a retired school bus contractor for Union County Schools for 50+ years.

He is preceded in death by brother, L. D. Shoffner; special daughter-in-law, Marilyn Shoffner; granddaughter, Tyra Shoffner; grandson, Heath Ailor; and son-in-law, Kenny Greene. Gerald is survived by children, Pat (Butch) Lambert, Sandra (Troy) Greene and Gerald Shoffner, Jr.; former wife, Barbara Shoffner; sister, Dorothy Wyrick; brother, Dwayne (Patsy) Shoffner; sister, Betty (Jim) Wright; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Richie Turner officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Monroe Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment service with full Military Honors conducted by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard.
