Obituary for Arthur Anthony Amos Jr.

Arthur Amos, Jr. – age 80 of Andersonville, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was a member of Church of Christ in Maynardville. Arthur was a veteran who served our country in the U. S. Marine Corps and was a 32nd degree Mason. Arthur was a loving husband, father and a strong, proud man who will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by daughter, Terri Amos. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wilma B. Amos; daughters, Ruth (Tony) Williams and Kathleen Hutchison; sons, Tip (Amy) Amos and Alex Amos; grandchildren, Dusty Muncey, Anthony, Bradly and Victor Hutchison, Mitchell Kitts, Keven Hall, Ashley and Justice, Tyler, and Dylan Amos; eight great grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with Larry Ensley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Trinity Funeral Home and go in procession to New Loyston Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. interment service.
