Obituary for Emma Ethel Cleveland (Graves)

Emma Ethel   Cleveland (Graves)
Emma Graves Cleveland – age 92, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, January 10, 2017. She was a 1943 graduate of Gibbs High School and member of Rocky Dale Primitive Baptist Church. She was the rock of the family, a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, quilter and painter. She blessed her family all her life with her love and talents. She will be remembered as a loving, selfless, humble, gentle-spirited and caring lady. She was a truly beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Cleveland; parents, Ezra and Maggie Bradley Graves; and brothers, Tracy Graves and Truman Graves. She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Tracye Robertson; son-in-law, David Robertson; granddaughters, Holly Robertson and Laura Robertson Nolen with husband, Kyle Nolen; and great granddaughter and namesake, Emma Nolen; nieces, Sue George, Liza Graves, Sandy Atnip and Vickie Brown; and nephews, Steve and Jeff Cleveland.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. followed by a Eulogy at 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel in Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Corryton for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
