Doris Laquitta (Patterson) Welch – age 75 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2017. Doris was a member of Community Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her two sons, Marvin and Greg Welch; nephew, Johnny Stooksbury; father, Reverend Malcomb (Pat) Patterson; mother, Ella Woods; father and mother-in-law , Reed and Mamie Welch; brother-in-law, Jim Lay and Bill Hutchison; and sister-in-law, Judy Patterson. Doris is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Welch; grandchildren, Allen (Jennifer) Welch, Jason, Tasha and Brian Welch and Austin Pratt; fourteen great grandchildren, sisters, Agnes Hutchison and June Lay; brothers, Stanley Patterson and Denny (Brenda) Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow immediately at 7:30 p.m. with Reverend Phillip Hayes officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at Lett Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. interment service.
