William “Joe”, “Dad” Smith – age 74 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith. Joe enjoyed life and especially was a fan of drag racing.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Smith; parents, Edgar and Reban Smith; and brothers, Roy, Emerson and Allen Smith. He is survived by son, Stanley (Dottie) Smith; granddaughters, Vanessa Smith, Courtney and Kelly Childress and Tiffany (Daniels) Carver.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Steve Ailor officiating.
