Obituary for Benny Wayne Mills
Benny Wayne Mills – age 67 of Maynardville, changed his address to Heaven on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. A loving husband of 45 years, father, papaw and brother.
He attended New Life Assembly of God for over 30 years.
He is preceded in death by parents, James Thomas and Etha Mills; sisters, Alma Hutchinson, Elaine Mills, Carolyn Jones and Margaret Bowles; and brother, Alvin Mills. Bennie is survived by wife, Janice Lynn Mills; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Jennifer Mills of Knoxville; grandchildren, who were Benny’s pride and joy, Stacie-Ann, Blake and Alexis Mills; brothers, Sherman and Cinda Mills of Maynardville, Tommy and Kathy Mills of Strawberry Plains, and Reaford and Eula Mills of Halls; sisters, Mary Roark, and Kathleen and James Dyer all of Maynardville; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Beverly Park Place Healthcare and Amedisys Hospice.
The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend James Mitchell, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will proceed after the service to New Loyston Memorial Gardens for the interment. Serving as pallbearers, Joel Mills, Blake Mills, Jesse Mitchell, David Dyer, Jason Roark and Brian Anderson.
