Obituary for Carolyn Faye Bailey (Sharp)
Carolyn F. Bailey – age 74 of Luttrell, passed away July 24, 2022 at her home. She attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Horace Maynard High School. She will be remembered for her witty, outgoing personality. Carolyn worked alongside her husband and son at Bailey Heating and Air for 48 years and her own business Cakes by Carolyn for 30 years. She retired from Union County Highway Department in 2013. She enjoyed travelling and entertaining family and friends at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David L. Bailey; son, D. Stacey Bailey, parents, J. C. and Romey Sharp; and sister, Juanita Helton. Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Lonitta (Jerry) Barns and Joan (David) Gray; two grandsons, Jason and Chad Bailey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Jimmy Davidson officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at J. C. Sharp Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Clayton Helms, Rick Brook, Brandon Booker, Billy Joe Henderson, Larry Henderson, Ed Littleton: honorary pallbearer, Larry Helton.
