Cleta K. Ford Adams Phillips – age 87 formerly of Caryville departed this life on Christmas Day, 2020 after a long battle with dementia. She will be dearly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by father, John Massengill and mother, Ruby Hammonds Massengill Peters; husband of 33 years, Billy Ford; husband, John W. Adams; sons, Billy and Audie Ray Ford; brothers, Jack, James, Jerry, Clarence and Gary Massengill; and her beloved sister, Marclene Massengill Madison. Cleta is survived by her husband, Houston Phillips; daughter, Frances (Elmer) McHaffie; sons, Richie (Diana) Ford, and Benny (Tonya) Ford; grandchildren, James “Boo” (Angie) Clay, Amanda (Chris) Cooper; Nicole (David) Moroz, Billy Ford, Brooke (Alex) Ford, Corey Holloway; and Erickah Ford Kirby; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Kitts, Jean Shelby Long, Sue (Ralph) Heatherly and Melinda (Mark) Nuzum; and brother, Danny (Regina) Massengill.

The family will receive friends December 28, 2020 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. The service will follow with Reverend Wade Brantley and Reverend James “Boo” Clay officiating. Interment will be in Ousley Cemetery following the service.
