Dennie “Joe” Kitts – age 76 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was of the Baptist faith. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding horses.

He is preceded in death by parents, Estel and Juanita Kitts; sisters, Janice Wyrick and Carolyn Hensley; and brother, Eddie “Moose” Kitts. Joe is survived by children, Michael Kitts and Jeffrey Kitts; grandchildren, Colton Kitts, Dianna Kitts and Emily Kitts; four great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Frye, Tammy (George) Caldwell and Kimberly Patton; brothers, Doyle Samuel (Janice) Kitts, Glenn Allen (Patsy) Kitts, Johnny Wayne (Luealma) Kitts and Denis (Tammy) Kitts; many nieces and nephews; and special best friend, Ronnie Atkins. The family wants to thank Emma and Anna for the great care of Joe.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2023 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Trinity to proceed to Baker Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service with Reverend Richard Nicley.
