Don Reid Bridges - passed away peacefully at home March 16, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born September 22, 1956 to Don Keith Bridges and Patricia Monroe Bridges. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Bridges; and loving grandparents, Garlin and Alva Bridges and Irby and Ruth Monroe. Reid was a gifted craftsman, much like his grandfather, Irby Monroe.

Reid is survived by his mother, Patricia Bridges; daughter, Amanda Bridges (Rick Story); son, Caleb (Chanda) Bridges; Amanda and Caleb’s mother, Cathy Deckelmann Bridges; sister, Delores (Terry) Collingsworth; niece, Leah Collingsworth; great-nephew, Charlie Collingsworth; aunt, Martha Warwick; aunt, Katherine (Bob) Monroe; and several dear cousins and friends. The family wishes to express a special thank you to U T Medical Center and Amedisys for the wonderful care they gave their loved one.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Trinity Funeral Home. At Reid’s request, no service will be held. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Union County Humane Society, 719 Hickory Star Road, Maynardville, Tennessee 37807 in Reid’s memory.
