Eldon,
You were the cutest little 3-year-old I had ever seen, and the most adorable Ring Bearer in our wedding. Your zest and joy for life made everyone who knew you want to be around you. Your mother would always say “Eldon never met a stranger.” It was fun to watch you grow up and wonderful that you could be around to help raise Art and my children. You were truly a blessing and a gift to our family. The kids would be so excited when their favorite uncle was coming to visit! Eldon, our hearts are broken that you left us too soon. You will be missed more than you could ever know. We will forever be grateful for all the love and help that you so generously gave to all of us. Love you forever, Donna, Art and family.

I love you Uncle. You had a heart of gold and always made me feel protected and loved. I have many wonderful memories of all of us playing Simon says, buring us (using wet sand!) at the beach, holding my hand and swinging me with dad, holding my hand with dad so the big waves didn't wash me away in the ocean. These memories I have as a young girl. Protected, loved, and happy. Thank you.

As a young adult, you still had the same love for us, but now you had your own son. I remember Jarrett as a baby, you two were big dude and little dude. The fun times we shared BBQing.

Now, as a woman and mother, I will always cherish the memories made when you came to visit us last summer. My heart is so happy knowing that my son got the chance to meet you. Even at his young age he remembers you and the fun times we all shared that summer. I don't think he will ever forget the epic treasure hunt, water park and time spent fishing with fun Uncle Eldon and "uncle Jarrett". Thank you.

You are truly one great soul and we will miss you here on earth. I know you will still be sending me love and protecting me from heaven, just like you did here on earth.

Rest in the sweetest peace Uncle. I will always love you.

Nicole

Uncle Eldon , thank you for the countless cherished memories from my childhood. My heart aches so much knowing that I will never hear another one of your stories or hear your contagious laugh again. Thank you for the endless supply of hiking and camping tips, taking me out too deep in the ocean and the always unconditional love you gave me. I am so glad that we got to spend time together at the beach (going way too far out in the ocean as was your MO) during your last visit. I am so sad that my kids won’t get to experience more of Uncle Eldon but feel so truly blessed that they were able to meet you. I love and miss you so much Uncle. Rest easy Uncle Eldon.

Love forever and always
Jannelle “Rosebud”

P.s. extra special thank you for not telling Chris the embarrassing origin story of your nickname for me!

Eldon always had an amazing heart! No matter what came around to bring him down he turned it around to humor. He always had the boys backs. My son looked up to him, not just literally ☺️ He was always there for a ride, helping hand or a good conversation. It’s hard to believe he is actually gone. I’ve learned so much from him and I’m blessed to have known such an amazing man. We will miss you so much “Sasquatch”! “Keep an eye out for Bigfoot when you’re hiking, that’s my family” is what he would always tell my daughter 🥰 love you Eldon thank you for the memories!
