Obituary for Helen M. Helms (Stooksbury)
Helen M. (Stooksbury) Helms – age 97 of Maynardville, departed this life to go to her heavenly home on December 9, 2020. She was a member of Miller’s Chapel Methodist Church and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by husband, Harry T. Helms; daughters, Louella Brantley and Mary Livesay; and infant son; sons-in-law, Clarence Brantley and Ronnie Brantley; sisters, Wanda Mitchell and Betty Edmondson. Helen is survived by sons, Clayton (Sharon), Roger (Kathy), Bobby, and Arthur (Angie) Helms; daughters, Nancy Brantley, Martha (Lewis) Arthur and Emma (Jimmy) Bryan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Richard Livesay. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Chantay Johnikins, family members and Tennova Hospice for the care of their mom.
Due to COVID-19 concerns a call of convenience will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Trinity Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Trinity Funeral Home at 12:45 p.m. to go in procession to Miller Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Reverend Jimmy Davidson and Reverend Dean Brantley officiating.
