Obituary for James Adrian "Jim" Campbell

James “Jim” A. Campbell – age 73 of Maynardville, passed away February 21, 2023 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. Jim was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jim retired from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office as a Detective with 34 years of service and was one of the first Motorcycle Units with the department. No matter how he felt he was a big jokester and always could make you laugh and smile. He was the “self-proclaimed Mayor” of Cedar Grove Marina.

He is preceded in death by parents, Adrian and Vondell Campbell; brothers, Charles and Steven Campbell; sisters, Katherine Campbell, Charolet Ridge and Lisa Pratt. Jim is survived by children, Sharon (Robbie) Brady, Dustin (Kate) Campbell and Wesley Campbell; grandchildren, Logan Barrett, Gage Sivley, J. J. Campbell and Justin Campbell; great grandson, Silas Barrett; and sisters, Patricia Allen, Janet Campbell and Karen Zirkle.

The family will receive friends 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Mark Large officiating. Family and friends will leave in procession to Macedonia Church Cemetery for a graveside service.
