Obituary for Johnie Marie McCurry
Johnie Marie McCurry - age 80 of Corryton, went to her heavenly home January 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Johnie Marie was born February 7, 1941 in Luttrell. Her love and humor were adored by everyone who knew her. Johnie was a mother, sister, mamaw, friend and devoted care giver to many. She was one of the founding members of Fellowship Christian Church where she spent her Sundays serving her savior.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy McCurry; her only son, Jeffery Wyrick; and children’s father, O. G. Wyrick; parents, Reverend Frank and Mildred Anderson; brothers, Bobby, Paul and Lynn Anderson; sisters, Ella Mae Roberts and Sheryl Tyson. Johnie is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Tommy Arnwine, Marlene and Stan Lambert and Tina and Michael Cox; grandchildren whom she adored, Aaron Wright and Michelle, Abby Stroupe and Andy, Amy and Ryan McFall, Corey and Joey English, Victoria and Jackson Lambert, Maddie and Isaac Enos, and Tucker Davis and Anna; great grandchildren, Michael Buckner, Keaton and Corbin Kitts and Brayden Arnwin; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Mickie Anderson and Jeryle Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Tip Bailey; sisters, Laverne Bates, Meryle Kitts and Jenny Brown; and special friend and sister-in-law, Judy Anderson Ramey. The family would like to thank all caregivers over the past five years and anyone who helped take care of her especially Donna Russell and Melinda Taylor.
Receiving of friends will be Tuesday, January 11 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel and services to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend James Russell and Archie Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 12:15 p.m. to go in procession to Dyer Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service.
