Joshua Acuff, age 41 of Corryton, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021. Josh was a wonderful father, brother, husband, son, and friend. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was funny, witty, and the end all, beat all champion of “name that tune” games and “dad jokes”. He was a ham radio enthusiast (call sign W4WRX), collected coins, matchbox cars and loved to cook for a crowd. Josh was generous to a fault, helpful and kind and he will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by grandfathers, L.C. Acuff and Roy Berrier, Sr.; brother, Joshua Lee Hunley; and multiple great grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Johnson Acuff; children, Bradley Acuff, Austin (Kyla) Acuff, Anthony (Ginger) Acuff, Lydia (Austin) Hermann, Sarah (Bryson) Hermann, Gavin Pickens; grandbaby to be, Madlynn; father, Barry Douglas Acuff and step-mother Tenora Acuff; mother, Marcia Zachary Hunley and step-father Gary E. Hunley, Sr.; grandparents, Billy Ray and Shirley Zachary; siblings, Julie (Jason) Hughett, Katie (Greg) Wyatt, Stephanie (Brad Williams) Hunley, Gary E.(Tonya Ballard) Hunley, Jr., Jeremiah (Amber Murphy) Hunley, Ashley (Joey Zanette) Folden and Allison (James) Filippone; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly; special friends, Cynthia Hutchens mother of his boys; and lifelong friends, Kenny Marsee, Jason Hughett and the Hutchens and Johnson families.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home Friday, September 10. 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to Kitts Cemetery Ridgeview Road in Luttrell, for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service with Reverend Eddie Muncey officiating.
