Obituary for Julia Elizabeth Burnett (Anders)

Julia Anders Burnett went to worship her Lord and Savior in person on August 6, 2021. Born in Warren, Arkansas on September 6, 1948 to Pastor Julian and Juanita Anders. Born again when she was 16 years old at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church, Knoxville where her father pastored. Julia was the daughter of a pastor and the wife of a pastor. Julia was a serving member in the music ministry at several churches throughout her life. She was the pianist at Sixth Avenue when she accepted the Lord as her Savior. She answered the invitation instead of playing the invitation that night.
Married to Mitchell Burnett on September 14, 1974. They were blessed with two sons, Paul (Amber), Seth (Elisha) and 5 grandsons, Keaton, Lian, Jeremiah, A. J. and Wyatt. Always a mother and grandmother she expressed her concern for her family to the end of her life. Concerned that her family would hurt for her during her illness, she was always “doing pretty good.” Survivors include the above family and sisters Martha Branch, and Glenda (Steve) Hensley, brothers Herb (Mary), Don, Craig (Debbie) Anders and brother-in-law Randy (Julie) Burnett.
Julia asked that her nephews serve as pallbearers. They are Bryan Branch, Mike Anders, Brad Anders, Gary Anders, Keith Branch, Daryl Medley, Daniel Burnett and J. C. Anders.
The family and Julia request that in lieu of flowers that you take the one(s) that you love the most to dinner and make it a time to tell them just how much they mean to you. Someday you won’t have that opportunity and we don’t believe you will regret filling this request. Let us know if this has a meaningful outcome for you. “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
The family will receive friends at Son Light Baptist Church, 6494 Son Light Way, Knoxville, TN 37918, August 8 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with the service at 7:00. Brother Ron Ledford and Brother Eddie Myers officiating. Interment will be at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery, 4828 Salem Church Road, Knoxville, TN 37938. Please meet at the Cemetery August 9 at 10:00 for a graveside service and interment.
