Obituary for Larry Wayne "Black" Sharp

Larry W. “Black” Sharp – age 74 of Sharps Chapel, went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2021. He was a lifelong farmer, always working on the farm, and loved to hunt and fish. Black retired from Union County Highway Department after 8 years and the TN Division of Forestry after 20 years.

He is preceded in death by parents, Rector and Edith Sharp; brothers, Clio “Bang” and Sam Sharp; and sister, Ruth Jean Campbell. Black is survived by loving wife of 50 years, Helen; sons, Brian (Debbie) Sharp, and Brad Sharp; daughters, Holly (Kendall) Nease and Ginger Muncey; grandchildren, Dakota, Nicholas (Autumn), Makenna, Bryson, Brooklyn, Rachel, Cole and Dalton; sister, Anna Cox; brother, Jack (Brenda) Sharp; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2021 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Allen Rutherford officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 a.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to the family farm for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Dakota Sharp, Nicholas Sharp, Bryson Sharp, Cole Nease, Dalton Muncey, Kendall Nease and Jon Wise; honorary pallbearers, Bobby Widner and John Davis. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
