Laura Jane Johnson – age 72 of Harrogate, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday morning July 26, 2022. She was saved at a young age and was a member of Shawanee Baptist Church. Laura was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all she knew.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Phillip Ray Johnson, Sr.; daughter, Deborah Ann Estes; mother and father, Phillip T. and Laura Austin; brothers, Phillip (Josephine) Austin, and Gene (Helen) Austin. Laura is survived by special friend, Kyle Phillips; son, Phillip (Becky) Johnson; son-in-law, Jeff Estes; grandchildren, Jonathan (Tiffany) Estes, Mekenzie Estes, Amber, Bridget (Micheal) Lawson, Phillip (Elizabeth) Johnson, Jenny (Robert) Saunders, Brad, Laura, Sarah and Travis Musgrave; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Donnie (Delores) Austin; many nieces, nephews; and beloved friends.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on July 30, 2022 at Shawanee Baptist Church in Harrogate. The service to follow with Reverend Travis Dunn officiating. Music will be provided by Vic Graves along with Natasha Wolfenbarger and Rick Collins. Reading of the obituary by Bill Surber. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m., July 31, 2022 at Fairview Memorial Cemetery in New Tazewell for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
