Obituary for Linda Kaye Ferguson (Frye)

Linda Kaye (Frye) Ferguson – 66 of Washburn, born June 18, 1955 went to rest in the Lord on December 25, 2021. She was saved at the early age of 10 at Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member. Linda was a wonderful cook and you never left her house hungry or unloved. She also loved the many babies and children she has helped take care of over the years. Linda also loved to take photos of nature.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Leslie and Gladys Katherine (Bailey) Frye; and three precious babies. Linda leaves behind her husband of 47 years, James H. Ferguson; daughter, Maelinda (Ferguson) Case and fiancé Tim Woods, granddaughters that she helped raise and loved with all her heart, Leslie Case of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Emily Case of Washburn; brothers, Charles (Evelyn) Frye and Gary Frye; sister, Kathy (Gary) Acuff; aunt, Ruth Coffman who brought so much joy to her life; and several nieces and nephews. Linda also leaves behind five special bonus children, Savannah and Andrew Wright, Hunter and Payton Simmons and Colby Lay. Special thanks to her lifelong friends, Jan Beeler who called her every day, Pat Harrell, Geraldine Manis and Joyce Benner. You helped brighten her days.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Trinity 9:45 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 to go in procession to Oak Grove Baptist Church in Washburn for an 11:00 a.m. service with Reverend Kevin Sexton and Reverend David Acuff officiating. Interment to follow in Beets – Arnwine Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in Linda’s name.
