Obituary for Nathan Buckner

Nathan Buckner
Nathan “Nate” Dallen Buckner – was born into this world March 1, 1989 at 3:41 a.m. He was saved April 5, 1998 on the bank at Nance Ferry and baptized by his dad. With the hope he received that day, he used it on January 25, 2019 when he took his last breath at 4:00 p.m. at U T Medical Center after he was so selfishly stripped from this life. He had a heart of gold and was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend. If he loved you he’d go above and beyond to help you in anyway. From the day he was born he was ready to take on the world. He had a great passion to become a real life cowboy riding in rodeos for Spur & S. After being crushed by a bull in 2017 he had to give up that dream. He loved to turkey hunt, fish and spend time on the lake. He was employed by CSI of the Southeast, Inc. Nathan was a member of Ailordale Baptist Church. He will be missed by so many including special girlfriend, Allison O’Dell.

Nate was greeted at Heaven’s door by many family members, but especially by the One who saved him on that Sunday afternoon in April of 1998. Nathan is survived by his mom and dad, Reverend Marty Buckner and Marla Buckner; sister, Paige (Steven) Hayes; nephews, Jaxson, Brock, and Hudson Hayes; grandparents, Eddie and Joann Buckner and Earl and Sandra Cox; aunt, Shanta Hensley; and a host of cousins, great aunts and uncles and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00, Thursday, January 31, 2019 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow with his dad, Reverend Marty Buckner, Reverend Dustin Savage and Reverend Adam Nicely officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to Big Barren Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment service. Pallbearers will be, Avean Young, Josh Patten, Jamie McNabb, Steven Hayes, Justin Sawyer and Maison Scates; honorary pallbearers, Kenny Jones, Phillip Armstrong, Billy Nicely, Jaxson Hayes, Rodney Hensley and Steven “Fatback” Brown. Trinity Funeral Home, LLC, Maynardville, has the honor to serve the family of Nathan Buckner. 865-992-5002 www.trinityfuneralhome.net
