Rev. Terry Alan Sawyer – age 60 of Powell, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019. He was a member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church and many other church families. Terry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed the sweet Holy Spirit.

Terry is preceded in death by Bill Curington; grandparents, Oren and Flora Foster and Tom and Edna Sawyer; and Stacy Foster. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Becky Sawyer; sons, Nathan (Stephani) Sawyer, Daniel (Kristy) Sawyer and Justin (Shana) Sawyer; parents, Billy and Mary Ruth Sawyer; grandchildren, Trey, Hannah, Xander, Sofia, Logan and Caroline Sawyer; brothers, Tim, Greg and Mark Sawyer and Kevin Curington; sisters, April Oakley and Beverly Kerr; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 15, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Reverend Thomas Daniel Sawyer and Reverend Phillip Hayes officiating and eulogy to be given by Nathan Sawyer. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Zion Hill Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
