Obituary for Virginia Ruth Jones (Groseclose)
Virginia Ruth Jones – age 90 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully October 6, 2020. She attended Alder Springs Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by parents, Lena and Roy Groseclose; brother, Glen Groseclose; sister, Theda Boring; and son and daughter-in-law, Harley “Teddy” E. Jones, Jr. and Carolyn Jones. Ruth is survived by husband, Harley “Ted” E. Jones, Sr.; daughter, Theresa Campbell; grandson, Mike (Jenny) Jones; granddaughters, Sharon Sivley and Angie (Jason) Berry; great granddaughter, Taylor (Josh) Tharpe; great grandsons, Ryan and Noah Jones, Logan Barrett and Gage Sivley; and great-great grandson, Silas Barrett.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 9, 2020 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow with Reverend Jason Berry officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Carr Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
