Obituary for William Odra "Bill" Carey


Carey, William “Bill” Odra Davis – age 71 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his home. Loved by everyone who knew him, he had many who looked up to him. Bill was baptized in the Christian faith in 1961. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a truck driver for 36 years. He had a love for racing and a talent as a mechanic. Mr. Carey is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Carey Warwick and Odra Davis; step-father, Woodrow Warwick; grandmother, Minila Archer Carey; aunt, Margie Beeler; and in-laws, Sam and Rachel Schuyler. Survived by his wife, Terry Schuyler Carey; children, Richie and Robin Carey, Debbie Carey Webb, Pam and Jim Schilling and Will Carey; grandchildren, Dustin and Misty Webb, Ryan Carey, Lindsey Carey, Tyler Nicley and Schuyler Carey; special family, Carlie Warwick, Jimbo Anderson, Chris Vittetoe, Kayla Baird, Daniel and Julie Massengill, and Christopher Hickman; and a host of special friends too many to list. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment to follow in Ousley Cemetery with full military honors provided by Tri County Honor Guard.
