Obituary for Willis Edward "Flywheel" Beeler

Willis Edward “Flywheel” Beeler – age 76 of Maynardville, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his sons, Tony Edward Beeler and Eddie DeWayne “Pete” Beeler; mother, Zelma (James) Norris; father, Elmer Lee (Cora) Beeler; brother, John “Butch” Beeler; sister, Linda Beeler; and best friend, Harold Satterfield.

Flywheel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hilda June (Hopson) Beeler; son, Greg Beeler; daughter, LeAnn Cabage; grandchildren, Summer Beeler, Danielle Beeler, Lexis Cabage, Seth Beeler, Dewayne Beeler; and Samantha (Chad) Mortez; two great grandchildren, his pride and joy, that he has raised as his own, William and Edward Beeler; and nine other great grandchildren he loved dearly; brother, Paul (Sally) Beeler; sisters, Dorothy Stewart, Lois Hubbs, Robbie (Jerry) Propps; and Gail Monday; and many nieces and nephews. A special appreciation to U T Cancer Center staff and Palliative Care, Amedisys Hospice staff and nurses, Dr. Dill and staff, Dr. Faulkner and staff and Nicole Campbell with U T Palliative Care.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Eddie Muncey and Reverend Kevin Brantley officiating, eulogy by Greg Beeler and music by The McClure Family. Family and friends will meet 11:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Big Barren Cemetery for a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Jeff Beeler, Jeff Wilson, William Beeler, Tim Sherritze, Ronnie Hopson and John Fugate; honorary pallbearers, Jack Davis, Bud Smith, Buckwheat Wollard, Todd Muncey, Larry Hubbs, Lynn Sexton and all the Luau Crew.
