Launa  Steiner Jones (Lynch)
Steiner Jones, Launa Lynch – age 91 of Maynardville, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was born on July 10, 1921 and enjoyed a long healthy life. Her life was filled with enjoyment from family and friends, being active for 91 years. Although Launa knew much heartache during her life, including the loss of her father at age five, working with her mother in the restaurant business and living through both the Great Depression and World War II, she was always eager to be with friends and have fun. She loved working crossword puzzles and won a scholarship to the Ethel Allen Archer Beauty School by winning a word contest, helping to begin her more that forty year career as a beautician and operator of Lady-B- Lovely. Preceded in death by parents, Wiley Nelson Lynch, Sr. and Dora Jane Oaks Lynch; husbands, Emory J. “E.J.” Steiner and Earl “Red” Jones; sisters, Evelyn Good and Inez Carter; and grandson, Eric Steiner. Survived by son, James E. “Jim” (Susan) Steiner; niece, Judy Seymour (loved like a daughter); daughter-in-law, Peggy Steiner; grandson, Aaron (Regina) Steiner; great grandchildren, Tucker and Madison Steiner; great niece, Jennifer (Chris) LaRue; great nephew, Chuck Seymour; sister, Dora Jane “Dee” (Jeff) Blankenship; brother, Wiley Nelson “W.N.” Lynch; stepson, Frank (Tonya) Jones, stepdaughter, Litha (Jay) Ambrister; several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30- 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home in Maynardville followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Jimmy Davidson and Reverend Jody Winstead officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
