Obituary for Betty Charlotte Sharp (Godfrey)

Betty Charlotte  Sharp (Godfrey)
Sharp, Betty C. (Cooper) – age 86 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Betty was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital for 10 years and a former employee of C&S Laundry. She is preceded in death by husband of her children, William David Cooper; parents, Hazel and James Godfrey; brothers, Eugene Godfrey and Harry Richards. She is survived by husband, Robert Sharp; daughters and spouses, Patsy and Kenneth Paul, Carolyn and Larry Gilbert and Martha and Gary Hill; sons and spouses, Larry and Kim Cooper, John and Denise Cooper, Steve Cooper and Tonya; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and brothers, LeRoy and Mary Godfrey and Melvin Godfrey. The family would like to give a special thank you to Willow Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Facility and staff. The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow immediately at 4:30 p.m. with Brother Justin Pratt officiating. Family and friends will meet, Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 1:45 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville for a 2:00 p.m. interment.
