Gary G. Sharpe – age 69 of Luttrell, died on February 7, 2016. The most important thing to Gary was his salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. He said over and over how blessed he was and was very thankful. Gary was a proud Marine and served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

He is preceded in death by parents, Rema (McGlothin) and Clarence A. Sharpe. Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Leslie (Hale) Sharpe; his much cherished daughter and husband, Naomi (Sharpe) and Chris Poplin; beloved brother, Stan (Laura) Sharpe; nephew, Chris (Teressa) Sharpe; niece, Trisha (Scott) Wuest; several family and friends; and Temple Baptist Church brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church on Woodrow Road in Knoxville, Tennessee. The funeral service to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles Lawson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sharp Cemetery, Luttrell, at 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 for an 11:00 a.m. interment service with full Military Honors conducted by Tri-County Honor Guard.
