Brummitt, David T. – age 77 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 2015. David was a member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville and attended the Union County Senior Citizen Center regularly. He is preceded in death by wife, Selina Brummitt; parents, William Robert and Lillian Brummitt; three sisters; and three brothers. David is survived by sons, David (Robin) Brummitt of Garner, North Carolina, William Henry (Diane) Brummitt of Glen Allen, Virginia, and Tad (Laura) Brummitt of Knoxville; grandchildren, Sam, Logan, Chloe, Tatum, Cole, Cameron, Drew, Grant and Jack; brother, Ben Brummitt of Castalia, Ohio; step-children, Twila Lobitz of Phoenix, Arizona, Bobbie Jo Staudenmeier of Clarksville, Tennessee; first wife and mother of his children, Gertie L. King; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel.
