Smith, Flossie (Gray) – age 95, of Maynardville went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2013 at Tennova Residential Hospice. She was a devoted member of Hubbs Grove Baptist Church. A loving mother and grandmother who adored her great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Reverend Walter Smith, pastor of Hubbs Grove Church for 40 years; parents, Alvis and Georgia Gray; brothers, Hubert, Carl and Edd Gray; half-brothers, Herman and Thurman Carmon. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Gerald Simmons and Brenda and Glenn Coppock of Maynardville; son and daughter-in-law R.J. and Arline Smith of Lafollette; grandchildren, Bridget Calfee, Jessee Smith, Cheree Rutherford, Leslee Moore and step granddaughter, Jennifer Esposito; great grandchildren, Gibson Calfee, Reece Moore, Connor and Zoey Smith. We would like to thank the caregivers, Wylene Hamock, Pamela Munsey and Betty Webb. A special thank you to Dr. S. Chinta for his care and kindness. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Johnny Smith officiating.
