Mayhew, Barbara LaVerne – age 64 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of Park West Church of God. She is preceded in death by father, Paul Farrington. She is survived by husband, Robert (Randy) Mayhew; sons and wives, Bryan and Kelli England, Jason and Ashley Guthrie and Kevin and Laurie Guthrie; step daughters, Catherine Mayhew and Cynthia Schultz; mother, Barbara Farrington; brother, Mark Farrington; sisters, Ginger Rouse, Beverly Curb, Paula Wyres; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, October 11, 2013 at Park West Church of God located at 7635 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Charlotte Fawver and Mrs. Frances McMillan officiating. Interment will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Mayhew Cemetery in Barbourville Kentucky.
