Marilyn Moore Shoffner (Moore)
Shoffner, Marilyn Sue (Moore) – age 61 of Luttrell went home to be with the Lord and her loving daughter, Tyra. She is a member of Fairview Baptist Church and an employee of the Union County Sheriff’s Department. Marilyn is preceded in death by her daughter, Tyra Shoffner; and parents, Owen and Janet Moore. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gerald “Scobie” Shoffner, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Shoffner; sisters, Myra (David) Hall and Dionne (Keith) Nease; nieces, Heather (Keith) Norris, Ravyn (Taylor) Thomas and Autumn Nease; nephews, Casey (April) Hall, Jim (Valerie) Greene, Logan Oxendine and Earl Ailor, III; great niece Blakley Hall; great nephews, Brayden Hall, Gavin Thomas and Kenny Greene; sisters-in-law, Sandra Greene and Pat (Butch) Lambert; father-in-law, Gerald Shoffner, Sr.; mother-in-law Bobbie Shoffner; bestest friend, Karen Nicley; the past and present Union County Sheriff’s Departments; and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends, Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Beeler and Reverend Richie Turner officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Trinity Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. and proceed in procession to Booker Cemetery, Luttrell for an 11:00 a.m. interment service.
