Obituary for Shirley Juanita Wilson (Ward)

Shirley Juanita  Wilson (Ward)
Shirley J. (Ward) Wilson – age 76 of Union County. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed life, cherished her family and was a friend to many. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and has fed many a stranger. Shirley was owner of A & W Compressor and Mechanical Services, Inc.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Lillie Ward; daughter, Tina (Wilson) McAuley; brother, Arthur John Ward; mother-in-law, Nona Wilson; brothers-in-law, Billy Dunsmore, and Jim Ed Wilson. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Archie Wilson, Sr.; daughter, Shawna (Mark) Munsey; son, Archie (Sherrie) Wilson, Jr.; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, Jeanette (Ward) McKinney; brother, Greg (Carla) Ward; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Ann Dunsmore, Nancy and husband, Sonny Corum; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral to follow immediately with Reverend Don James and Reverend Ray Woodie officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery on Tazewell Pike for an 11:00 a.m. interment service.
